PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Howdy,

From what I have heard, everyone that went to HAN had another great time and the '04 event is already sold out !!! Thanks to Tom Gormley for hosting our cruise last Sunday, another great time for everyone that participated. Cherries Jubilee is rapidly approaching...... as is our September meeting on the 3rd in San Leandro at Harry's. It will be here before you know it as Labor Day comes early this year.

Also in September is the Altamont Cruisers Show. Details will be made available as information comes in. October starts out with our meeting on the 1st at Harry's in Redwood City. Details on the Budweiser Car Show will be made available as we get them. The 18th has us in Livermore for our 7th Anniversary Picnic. Lots of information coming on this event. I will only say that the cruise route to get there will give everyone a chance to exercise their cars a bit.

As we return to our meeting schedule, it is once again time to review our finances, discuss any topics of your choice and begin planning for next year. Please be prepared to present your topic on Sept 3rd. Time will be set aside to discuss the challenges of hosting Good Guys.............I have several items that I would like to discuss as well. Have a GRRRR8 Labor Day weekend and see you on the 3rd.

John

OMIGODITSGOOD!

RECIPE CORNER

Hi Everyone,

Finding more and more zucchini in the lunch room at work. I love it. Here is a recipe from an old friend that might help put some of it to good use, case you are finding an over abundance as well.

Hope you enjoy.

Marsha

Marilyn's Fritata

Ingredients:
8 small, normal size zucchini
1 package of frozen spinach
1 package of saltines (1 sleeve) crushed fine
9 eggs beaten well
2 cups grated parmesan or combination parmesan and swiss cheese
6-10 cloves of garlic chopped fine
1 T oil, and salt and pepper to taste

Cut squash thin, and cook until done. Mash a little and drain very well. Drain fluid from defrosted spinach, pressing water out. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Put in baking dish. Bake at 350 oven for 45 minutes until golden brown on top and knife comes out clean after inserting.

Enjoy.
